FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 25, 2014
PITTSBURGH, Pa.- ProGrass client, the Louisiana-Lafayette Baseball Program is ranked No. 1 for the first time in Collegiate Baseball's NCAA Division 1 baseball poll presented by Big League Chew bubble gum. The Ragin' Cajuns are 22-2 on the year and have won 12 games in a row. The 22-2 start is the best in school history and ULL has already beaten Louisiana St. in Baton Rouge, La. and took two of three from Alabama in an earlier series.
A big advantage the Ragin' Cajuns have is playing on their ProGrass Synthetic Turf Baseball Field.
“ProGrass gave us the "wow" factor we were looking for when they installed the surface at M.L. 'Tigue' Moore Field," stated Athletic Director Scott A. Farmer. "The fans love it, the recruits and players love the way it plays and we couldn't be happier to have ProGrass not only on our baseball field, but our football field and our new indoor facility."
ProGrass installed the surface at M.L. 'Tigue' Moore Field in 2010, the football stadium Cajun Field in 2008 and recently just finished the surface at the Leon Moncla Indoor Facility in 2013.
“ProGrass has enhanced our program with the quality of surface we get to play on day in and day out. We couldn't be happier," added Head Baseball Coach, Tony Robichaux.

“We are thrilled to have an outstanding relationship with ULL and all of their athletic programs," said ProGrass President Bobby Thomas. “To have the number one team in the land in NCAA Division 1 Baseball selecting and playing on ProGrass is a testament to ULL's Baseball Program and the quality of our product. We hope their season ends in Omaha, and Coach Robichaux is hosting that National Championship Trophy!"
